The World Health Organization recently released the first global report ranking fungal pathogens in terms of their unmet research needs, mortality rates, and more, with a particular focus on fungi that cause invasive infections.

In this application note, we show how phenotypic identification using Biolog’s Odin™ platform presents a unique solution for the simultaneous identification and characterization of fungi using their metabolic and growth profiles on a variety of carbon sources.
